Jenny Kolodny-Goetz, MS, joined the Wandersman Center in November of 2018. She recently graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling. Previously, she worked as a mental health therapist in an inpatient psychiatric facility, primarily within the women’s trauma unit. Incorporating trauma-focused care into community mental health settings is a strong interest of hers.
In her current role at the Wandersman Center, she primarily provides support to the Sexual Assault Prevention Response Office (SAPRO) project, funded by the Department of Defense (DOD). Jenny is also collaborating in operations relating to the research of change management strategies that build readiness and the implementation of these applications in practical settings. Jenny’s professional mental health experience offers the team a unique skill set, which includes counseling techniques, such as motivational interviewing, that can be applied when navigating readiness-related issues. |
